Perfect Buttermilk Pancake Recipe:
Preperation Time: 5-10 minutes
Cooking Time:2-4 minutes
- 270 grams of all purpose flour
- 2 tsp of baking powder
- 1½ tsp of salt
- 30 grams of sugar
- 470ml of buttermilk
- 30 ml of vegetable oil
- 2 free range eggs
- 5 grams of vanilla paste
Step 1Pre-heat ( 375 degrees) and lightly grease a large frying pan
Sift together all of the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt and sugar) in a bowl
Make a well in the centre of the dry ingredients and add the buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs and vanilla extract
Bind the ingredients together with a fork or spoon to remove any lumps but be careful not to over work the mix, it should be thick and spongy in consistency
Use a large spoon to gently pour/scoop the batter into the frying pan and leave 2-3 minutes(this may vary due to the size of your pancake), depending on how quickly the pancakes brown adjust the temperature accordingly before flipping!
Indulge and smother your pancakes in anything you desire!
