Built in 1851 by Serena von de Hyde’s great great grandfather William Chinnery Mitchell The Georgian House has remained a family treasure for over 150 years. Displaying five star status and providing a warm and welcoming retreat for families, couples and those on business. Georgian House maintains the ‘home from home’ feel that our guests love and appreciate time and time again.
In celebration of National B&B Day we are taking a step back to remember where it all began and celebrate what we feel it means to be a quintessential B&B in the heart of London. Originally just a 28 bedroom guest house Georgian House now boasts 63 individually designed boutique rooms and is home to London’s snuggest cinema; Pimlico Pictures. Tucked away in our Grade-II listed building, concealed behind a bookcase door Georgian House is also home to our hugely popular Wizarding and Enchanted chambers attracting both adults and children alike for a magical experience! In 2017 Georgian House saw the launch of London’s first pop up cheese afternoon tea and to much success we have since released our new Upcycled Afternoon Tea menu to raise awareness of food waste and showcase how our locally sourced and quality ingredients can be utilized to create unique and delicious dishes.
