Where to park near Georgian House in Pimlico

We don’t have our own car park, so it’s worth sorting your parking before you set off. We’re in a residential pocket of Pimlico where the bays are reserved for permit holders during controlled hours, which means most guests driving down either book a nearby car park or leave the car at home. Both work well once you know what’s involved, so here’s everything you need to plan it.

On-street parking near the hotel

The bays around us are for permit holders while controls are in force, and they open up between 6.30pm and 8.30am on weekdays, plus all day on bank holidays. That’s handy if you’re arriving in the evening and heading off early, though it’s worth having a backup for the middle of the day. Restrictions vary from street to street and weekend hours differ too, so do have a quick look at the sign on the bay before you leave the car.

If you find a pay-to-park bay in the surrounding streets, Westminster City Council takes payment through the RingGo, PaybyPhone or JustPark apps, by phone, or with a parking card. The maximum stay is usually four hours, which makes these bays ideal for unloading and a coffee rather than for a full stay. Rates were updated in March 2026, so the council’s parking zones page will have the current figure. Pimlico sits in Zone A.

Car parks within reach

Two Q-Park sites serve this part of London, and they differ mainly in size and height clearance. If you’re driving anything taller than a standard car, or you’ve got a roof box on, the height limit is the first thing to check.

It’s worth checking with us which of the two sites the code covers, and pre-booking either way, since rates are better in advance and neither car park is especially large.

The charges to budget for

The Ultra Low Emission Zone covers every London borough, so it applies here whichever way you come in. If your vehicle doesn’t meet the emissions standard, it’s £12.50 a day, running 24 hours a day, every day except Christmas Day. TfL’s site lets you check your registration in a few seconds, which is a good thing to do the night before.

The Congestion Charge is separate, at £15 a day, and applies from 07:00 to 18:00 on weekdays and 12:00 to 18:00 at weekends and on bank holidays, with no charge between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. The zone boundary runs close to this part of London and whether you cross it depends on your route, so it’s worth a look at the map on the TfL Congestion Charge page while you’re planning the drive.

Getting your bags in

There’s no designated drop-off bay outside, but you’re fine to pull up and unload, and reception is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so there’s always someone around to lend a hand whatever time you arrive. There are two steps at the entrance and the building has no lift, so let us know in advance if that’s tricky and we’ll do our best to arrange a ground-floor room.

We’re happy to look after your bags on the day you arrive and the day you leave, so you can park the car, drop everything with us and get your trip started well before three o’clock. We aren’t able to store luggage on other days, though Victoria station has facilities if you need something longer.

Or make it easy on yourself and take the train

Plenty of guests find that a couple of nights of central London parking costs more than the fare, and the car tends to sit unused once you’re here anyway. Victoria station is about a 12 minute walk, Victoria Coach Station is closer still, and most of what you’d want to see in Pimlico is an easy stroll from the front door.
