We’ve got three addresses in Pimlico and one reception, which is brilliant if you know which one you want and slightly confusing if you don’t. The short version: Georgian House is the hotel, Chinnery House is apartments with kitchenettes, and Bower House is rooms without the hotel bit attached. Here’s how to pick.

Georgian House, if you want a hotel

This is the one at 35-39 St George’s Drive, with reception open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and breakfast included when you book direct. Rooms run from the Tiny Single for solo travellers through Comfy and Classy Doubles, up to the Comfy Quad for four and the Classy Triple, which takes two adults plus a child up to 12.
The difference between Comfy and Classy is mostly space and finish. Comfy rooms keep the design simple and cover the essentials. Classy rooms are individually designed with hand-picked furniture, more room to move, and better use of natural daylight, and the Classy Triple adds robes, slippers and a coffee machine.
Every room has tea and coffee facilities, superfast Wi-Fi and Urban Apothecary London toiletries, and booking direct gets you a complimentary late check-out when requested at the time of booking. This is also the only one of the three where the Wizard Experiences live, so if the Wizard Chambers, the potion making or the Wizard Afternoon Tea are the reason for the trip, book here and nowhere else.
Choose Georgian House if you want someone at a desk at 2am, breakfast you don’t have to think about, or you’re travelling solo, since it’s the only address with a single room.
Chinnery House, if you’d rather cook

Five apartments, each sleeping two to four adults with additional children on request within two of the apartments, and every one has a kitchenette. That’s the real reason to choose it: a fortnight in London is a very different trip when you’re not eating out three times a day, and a family with young children gets a fridge, a kettle and somewhere to eat that isn’t a restaurant.
They’re genuinely different from each other, so the choice matters more than usual:
Apartment 1 is on the ground floor with a king-size bed, a small double sofa bed and a single bed, and it’s the one to ask for if stairs are a problem. Apartment 2 is upstairs and has the king-sized bed, a sofa bed and a single futon. Apartment 3 is the basement garden apartment, with French doors onto a courtyard-style garden, underfloor heating, a large kitchenette and its own private entrance, though there’s one steep set of stairs down to access the apartment. Apartment 4 is on the top floor with a fully equipped kitchenette and a desk area. Apartment 5 sits just below it, more compact, with a double bed and a sofa bed.
Keys are collected from Georgian House, a short walk away, and check-in is from 15:00. If you need to arrive earlier, tell us when you book rather than turning up and hoping. Full details of each layout are on the Chinnery House apartments page.
Bower House, if you just need a good room

Bower House at 53 Cambridge Street is honest about what it is: an accommodation-only property, not a hotel. No reception on site, no hot breakfast, and room remakes on request rather than daily. What you get instead is a well-kept room a couple of minutes from Georgian House and a short walk from Victoria coach, tube and rail station, usually at a friendlier rate than a full hotel room.
There’s a Pimlico Cosy Single for one, a Pimlico Double for two, and a Family Room sleeping up to four with a king bed and two small single bunks. Every room has superfast Wi-Fi, hypoallergenic bedding, tea and coffee facilities, a clothes steamer, and a takeaway breakfast is included when you book direct. Keys come from Georgian House reception, two minutes away, and check-in is from 15:00. Pets aren’t permitted. You can see the rooms on the Bower House page.
Choose it if you’re out all day and want the money to go on London rather than on the room.
The bit that applies to all three
None of the three buildings has a lift, and Bower House isn’t wheelchair accessible, so stairs are part of the deal wherever you stay. There are ground-floor rooms and a ground-floor apartment, but they need to be requested at the time of booking rather than assumed on arrival, and our team will always give you a hand with luggage. Bower House has rooms as high as the fourth floor, and two of the Chinnery apartments are near the top of the building up steep stairs, so it’s worth being specific about what you can manage.
There’s no air conditioning at Georgian House, Chinnery House or Bower House. Fans are provided in all rooms.
Still not sure? Have a look at the rooms and apartments, or give reception a ring and tell us who’s coming and what you’re in London for. We’ll point you at the right address.
