What’s the difference? Bower House is an accommodation-only property, not a hotel, so there is no on-site reception or hot breakfast service, and room remakes are on request. Guests who book direct will have a breakfast bag delivery included.

At Bower House, we pride ourselves on authenticity, so you won’t find air conditioning or flashy lifts here. Don’t worry though each room comes with a fan, and our friendly team is always happy to help with luggage. If you need a ground-floor room, just let us know when booking and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Please note: Check-in at Bower House is available from 15:00 on the day of arrival. Check-out is at 11:00 on the day of departure. Should you wish to request early check-in or late check-out, please contact us directly at the point of booking.

Bower House FAQ's

Reception is located at our sister property, Georgian House Hotel (35 – 39 St George’s Drive, SW1V 4DG). Reception is open 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. The rooms are cleaned and ready for check in by 3PM, although sometimes they might be ready earlier. Check out time is 11.00am.

Yes! You are able to leave your luggage at Georgian House prior to check in (where you collect your keys on arrival.)  You can also arrange for your luggage to be placed in your room by a team member ready for your arrival at Bower House, please just ask a team member in advance or on arrival.

Bower House is an excellent choice for business travellers seeking comfort and convenience in London. Located at 53 Cambridge Street, Pimlico, it is just a short walk from Victoria Station, providing access to the overground, underground, and bus networks, as well as the Gatwick Express, making it easy to travel across London and beyond.

Each room at Bower House is thoughtfully designed for work and relaxation, featuring superfast Wi-Fi, dedicated desk space, and steamers, ensuring a productive and comfortable stay for business guests.

We do not have a car park at the hotel, due to our residential location parking is for permit-holders only outside of the hours 18:30pm-08:30am Monday-Friday or during bank holidays. We would recommend a secure car park located just 3 streets behind the hotel called Q-Park Pimlico which is a 1 minute drive.

No, unfortunately our period building does not have a lift and some rooms are located on the 4th floor. If you struggle with stairs or have a lot of heavy luggage please let us know at the time of booking so that we can reserve a room for you on the ground or lower floors. Please also ask a member of our front of house team should you require any assistance with your luggage. Our building does not have AC but fans are provided in all rooms.

Unfortunately due to the nature of our period building Bower House is not  wheelchair accessible. Should you have any further questions or queries regarding this, please do not hesitate to contact our reception team prior to booking.

Bower House is a cashless business, we do not accept payment in cash, US Dollars, Euros, cheques or travellers cheques. Payments can be made with credit card at no additional cost. Please note that we do not accept American Express or Diners Cards.

Each room is equipped with a personal safe box and a high-security door lock. The property is monitored by CCTV cameras, and Bower House is located in a quiet residential area.

Yes, but only if you are traveling from outside the EU, and are traveling on business. Refunds are not made for visitors traveling for pleasure. To reclaim the VAT on your accommodation, you will need to complete a special VAT Overseas Repayment form which is available from HM Customs and Excise, VAT Overseas Repayments Unit, Custom House, PO Box 34, Londonderry, BT48 7AE, Northern Ireland. You will also need to show a certificate from your own country showing the registration details of your business, and your invoices made out to the same company.
