Accessibility at Georgian House. Georgian House is a listed period building built in 1851, which means we have to be accommodating to its Victorian design and therefore we do not have any lift facilities. Access to the hotel is via three steps from street level to the front door so unfortunately it is not accessible to guests who are completely wheelchair bound.
Our bedrooms are split over four floors with many steps, so if stairs are a struggle let us know when booking so we can reserve a lower level room. For wheelchair users who can navigate a small number of steps at the entrance, we do have a room on the ground floor with a specially designed bedroom and bathroom and the hotel is fully accessible to guests with visual or hearing impairments.
Please Note: Our hallways are narrow and additional steps are located at the main entrance to the property. Due to the nature of our listed building not all flooring is level. Should you have any additional questions or queries regarding accessibility at Georgian House we would be happy to discuss this in more detail.
