About Georgian House Hotel

Our Story

Our story begins in 1851, when the houses that now form Georgian House were built by the visionary master builder Thomas Cubitt, the man behind much of Belgravia and Pimlico and Sir William Chinnery Mitchell who worked alongside master builder Thomas Cubitt. The terraces on St George’s Drive were part of the development that shaped Victorian London, proud, elegant and full of promise.

The buildings remained in the Cubitt family for generations, eventually transforming into a small London B&B. In 1987, the business became part of the hands-on ownership it has today. Back then, Georgian House had just 28 rooms, making it a traditional guesthouse with a strong sense of home.

As the years passed, we expanded into neighbouring properties, bringing the hotel to 45 individually designed rooms and apartments. What never changed is the spirit behind the place: personal hospitality, warm service and a feeling of staying somewhere with a story to tell.

Today, we’re proud to be a hotel that reflects both where we come from and who we are now. The architecture is unmistakably Victorian. The interiors blend period charm with modern style. And the experiences, from our cosy lounges to our immersive wizard stays, add a little imagination to every visit.
