The bank holiday weekend is upon us and we have some perfect opportunities to spend some time with your loved ones and keep the kids occupied during the Easter break!
Don’t know what to do this bank holiday weekend? Don’t worry, London is packed with creative entertainment idea’s for both adults and kids and we have some EGG-cellent recommendations suitable for the whole family!
The hunt
A classic activity during this holiday season is of course a magical Easter egg hunt and London is welcoming many hunts in some great locations all across the city.
Both Hampton Court Palace ( https://www.hrp.org.uk/hampton-court-palace/explore/lindt-gold-bunny-hunt/#gs.6mbghs) and Kensington Palace (http://tiny.cc/5unf5y) are a must see for all Easter egg hunt lovers. These hunts take place everyday from the 6th to the 22th of April, 10am to 6pm. In both locations you will get the chance to walk around the palace grounds and be in with the chance of winning a special prize (a very tasty chocolate Lindt Gold Bunny!)
The next hunt is organised by the famous Cadbury. This year Cadbury have hidden clues to follow in some great National Trust properties. The adventure is from the 19th to the 22th of April, the clues will lead you to a delicious chocolate prize. This is also a great opportunity to spend some time outdoors with the kids and explore a historical property. Too tired to investigate locations for clues? What about sitting comfortably and enjoy a good story
Haymarket Theatre Royal presents a magical show during April: ‘Where is Peter Rabbit?’ (https://trh.co.uk/whatson/where-is-peter-rabbit/) This play, based on the original tales of Beatrix Potter, will immerse you for an hour in a magical world with handcrafted puppets brought to life by some great actors and enchanting original songs.
Horniman Museum is welcoming a 30-minutes storytelling: The Hen That Laid The Golden Eggs ( https://horniman.ac.uk/visit/events/the-hen-that-laid-the-golden-eggs). Adapted of Aesop’s fable, Sandal Sticks Theatre will tell you, with songs and puppetry, the story of a man who has a hen which lays golden eggs. The play only takes place during the Easter weekend so do not hesitate more to book your ticket!
Craft
