A strictly no gluten diet is becoming more and more common in the UK for the benefit of good health. Many of us unfortunately suffer from conditions such as Celiac disease, allergies and sensitivity to foods containing gluten ingredients. An increase has been recorded of gluten being cut out as part of a fad diet or just due to a perception that life sans-gluten is a healthier life. Either way, there is one thing that they all have in common and that is the search to find gluten-free foods that are just as delicious and filling as the originals. Here at the Georgian House our kitchen experts are working hard to create tasty gluten-free breakfast recipes that are flavoursome, light and moreish! So far, our guests have been able to indulge on our famous gluten-free pancakes, eggs benedict and other little treats (such as the new coconut macaroons we got to try today). So, what can you do at home to spice up your gluten-free morning? Here we have some ideas that will brighten up your breakfast plate.

So, what’s going on in London this year to rejoice the special occasion? As usual, the city is going to be all things red and white and bursting with activities to suit everyone. We know it is a bit early yet to be so excited about this day, but let us share what’s in store so far for the 23rd of this month.
Breakfast in the Victorian era
The exciting event of English Tourism Week is over and we are sad to be ending our celebrations, until next year! If you popped in last week for our special Victorian style breakfast and service, you may have had the chance to try some tasty food from the past. Some of you may have become curious about the origins of the traditional English breakfast recipes, so we’re going to jump in the time machine once again and tell you more about what the Victorians had for brekkie.
Why the Georgian House loves England
This week is a special celebration of English Tourism Week and the Georgian House is going all out to show you how much we are proud to be quintessentially English! An exclusive Victorian themed breakfast with staff looking the part and some delicious delicacies from the 1800s are our ideas of a fun and also an educational way of celebrating the week. We have even been lucky enough to have MP for the Cities of London and Westminster constituency, Mark Field popping in this week for brekkie! As part of a competition, we asked you what are the best things about England and why you would choose this destination to come on holiday. We asked the same question to our staff, many of whom have come from around the world to work for us and their answers are truly inspiring. We’re going to share them with you.
